How to Use

Signing in

Enter your name, the group password, and pick your default clearing tool. If you work with Earthworks, tick the checkbox — that unlocks the EW1–5 options when you record a clearing.

Your preferences are remembered on this device. You can change your name, default tool, or EW status anytime from the Account menu in the top-right.

The top bar

Three things live across the top of the page:

• Tabs — the stat numbers at the top reflect whichever tab is active. They update live as people clear locations.
• Protocol — opens the clearing protocol (the recommended sequence of structures to run on every location). Available on every page via the paper-icon button in the header.
• Account menu — shows your name, default tool, and Earthworks status. Expand it to change any of those, open these instructions, read the protocol, or sign out.

The Tabs

Three tabs in the sidebar: Locations, Groups, and Log. Select any dot on the map (or any item in a list) to open its detail panel.

• Locations — the main map of hospitals, hospices, universities and prisons. Filter by place type or by which tool was used. Search by name or address.
• Groups — schools and GP surgeries grouped by Local Authority District. The list of all UK districts lets you clear a whole area at once.
• Log — history of every clearing across the group, with the All Clearings / My Clearings toggle to see just your own work.

Using the Map

• Zoom — pinch on touch, scroll-wheel on desktop, or use the +/− buttons. Drag to pan around.
• Home — the house icon in the top-left of the map resets the view to the whole UK and clears any selection.
• Find Me — the pin button in the bottom-left uses your device location to centre the map on you and frame the nearest 15 hospitals/hospices/universities/prisons. Roughly a district-scale view, wherever you are.

The Log tab

Full history of clearings, most recent first.

• All Clearings — what the whole group has done.
• My Clearings — only the clearings recorded against the name on your account. Tracks what you personally have achieved — no separate account needed, it just matches your current name.

The header stats and the cleared-dots layer on the map both follow the toggle: switching to My Clearings filters the map to only your work.

Tap any log row to open that location's detail panel without leaving the Log tab. Group entries jump you over to the Groups tab.

The phases

Hospitals, hospices, universities and prisons combined come to fewer than a thousand locations across the UK — small enough to show on the map together as individual dots in the Locations tab.

Schools and GP surgeries are roughly 40,000 combined. Way too many for individual dots, so they live in the Groups tab — grouped by Local Authority District for clearing in batches.

The plan is two phases. Phase one: get cracking on clearing all the individual locations as people feel called to them. Phase two: when there are more people on board, run group sessions to clear whole districts together.

Locations tab — individual clearings

Select a location to show the location's detail panel.

Your default tool is shown — tap Use a different tool to override it for this clearing. If you have Earthworks enabled, an optional EW level selector appears too.

Press Mark cleared to save. Your name, date, tool, and EW level (if used) are recorded and shared with the group straight away — other members see your update in real time.

To undo, open the same location and press Mark as not cleared.

Groups tab — district clearings

These areas are the Local Authority Districts of the UK. Select a district on the map or from the list to open it. Schools (blue) and GP surgeries (green) for that district appear on the map and a clearing panel opens at the bottom of the sidebar.

Pick which types to clear (Schools, GPs, or both), choose your tool, then press Mark cleared. The whole district lights up gold once both types are done.

Group clearings show in the Log with a GROUP badge. Tap one to jump back to that district.
